Bring Your Own Ceramic Chicken to Life! Join Adele for a hands-on ceramics workshop where you’ll be guided step by step to create and glaze your own delightful chicken. This relaxed workshop lasts between 2.5 to 3 hours and includes a hot or cold drink and cake, all taking place at the wonderful Bath Soft Cheese Cafe, near Bath. Details: Date: Friday, 12th June Time: 10 AM – 1 PM During the workshop, you’ll learn how to shape and join clay, explore textures and sgraffito techniques, and apply underglazes for color and pattern. After crafting your chicken, it will need to dry completely before being fired twice in a kiln, ready for collection a couple of weeks later. The workshop is set in the upstairs cheese-making viewing room at Bath Soft Cheese Cafe, providing a perfect atmosphere for creativity. Enjoy a hot drink of your choice, along with a selection of their delicious cakes. If you’d like, there’s also an option to have lunch afterward. Please note, while every effort will be made to handle your creation with care, the nature of ceramics involves high-temperature firings which can occasionally lead to unforeseen cracks or kiln mishaps. This adds to the unique charm of the craft, and I cannot accept responsibility for these rare occurrences. Open to all experience levels. It is not particularly messy but please wear clothes you don't mind being creative in or an apron.
